Egyptian authorities have ordered ousted president Mohammed Morsi jailed for 15 days pending further investigations on charges of conspiring with the Palestinian Islamist Hamas movement, news agencies quoted state-run newspaper al-Ahram online as reporting. The order was made by an investigative judge who charged Morsi of conspiring with Hamas to carry out "hostile acts" in the country at the peak of a popular uprising against his predecessor Hosny Mubarak in 2011, said the report. The alleged acts include attacks on security buildings, jailbreaks, premeditated murder of policemen and abduction of others. The judge questioned Morsi and faced him with evidence, said al-Ahram.
