Nelson Mandela is "steadily improving," the South African government said, as the former president marked his 95th birthday on Thursday in a Pretoria hospital. President Jacob Zuma, who visited the hospital, said: "On behalf of government and all the people of South Africa, we wish Madiba a joyous 95th birthday," referring to Mandela's clan name, according to a report of DPA. "We are proud to call this international icon our own as South Africans and wish him good health."
