Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region and Chairman of Board of Directors of Birr Charitable Society, chaired here Monday evening a meeting of the General Assembly of the Society in the presence of Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Vice Governor of Riyadh Region and the Board's Deputy Chairman. Addressing the meeting, Prince Khalid expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, and the Second Deputy Premier, for their generous support for the needy people. At the end of the meeting, the Prince approved the selection of 21 members for the Society's new Board of Directors under his chairmanship. The meeting was attended by the Grand Mufti of The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and President of Council of Senior Scholars and General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh; Prince Sultan bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer; Prince Saud bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz; Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh; Undersecretary of Riyadh Region Governorate Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Dawood; and a number of officials and businessmen.
