The White House said Greece's leader will meet with President Barack Obama next month at the White House, AP reported. Prime Minister Antonis Samaras will visit on August 8. The White House says they'll discuss American support for Greece's economic reform efforts. They'll also discuss trade negotiations and Cyprus. Defense cooperation, counterterrorism and security issues in Syria and North Africa are also on the agenda. The meeting comes as Samaras is promising to speed up austerity reforms related to the financial crisis that has plunged Greece into a deep recession.
