Egypt deploys more troops ahead of army statement

The Egyptian army has deployed additional troops on the streets of Cairo and other cities ahead of an expected statement from Defence Minister Abdel-Fattah al-Sissi, witnesses and local
media said, according to dpa.
Tanks and military forces have been deployed "to prevent any
dangerous acts of violence that might threaten Egyptian national
security in the coming hours," reported state-run newspaper al-Ahram
online.
