British Prime Minister David Cameron Sunday asked Pakistani leaders to mend ties with Afghanistan to encourage a reconciliation process with the Taliban, DPA reported. "I profoundly believe that a stable, prosperous, peaceful, democratic Afghanistan is in Pakistan's interest," Cameron said after meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad. Speaking to Sharif, Cameron said, "And I know that you and [Afghan] President [Hamid] Karzai will work together towards those ends."
