Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah held a second round of what appeared to be inconclusive talks with President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday to resolve differences that caused him to resign last week, dpa reported. Hamdallah resigned Thursday after only two weeks in office, complaining of infringement on this authority as prime minister, mainly by his two deputies, former advisors to Abbas. Contrary to earlier expectation that the meeting would lead to a resolution of the issues that prompted Hamdallah's resignation, there were no conclusive results as official sources told dpa that an announcement is expected to be made on the matter Sunday. They said the announcement is going to be made by Abbas' office, without giving any more details.
