France denounced today the recent Syrian air attack on the Lebanese border town of Arsal. "France firmly condemns the bombardment on the Lebanese town of Arsal, which constitutes a violation to the integrity of Lebanon's sovereignty," the French Foreign Ministry said in a statement. "All provocations and attempts to target civil peace in Lebanon ... are unacceptable," the ministry statement said. Syrian helicopter gunships fired several rockets into Arsal Wednesday.
