The Ministry of Labor reiterated today the call on all Saudi individuals who hire foreign laborers, companies and foreign labor force to speed up steps of correcting their confused labor situations and meet the July 3 deadline conditions. In a statement, the Ministry confirmed that the concerned authorities will kick off their inspection campaigns on establishments and companies hiring foreign workforce to enforce law on violators, including businessmen, owners of companies and expatriates as well once the deadline expires. The statement offered a number of options for the foreign workforce who are currently considered illegal and their former or future sponsors to hasten the procedures with the labor and passports offices before the end of the amnesty given to them by the government. The services offered by the Ministry of Labor could be reached on the website: www.mol.gov.sa without the need to visit the labor offices, the statement said. However, labor personnel are working day and night and over the weekends to secure this service amid a huge rush of correction-seekers. Furthermore, more than 90% of the services needed are available on line at www.taqatonline.org.sa, the statement added. The Ministry said it has recently issued publications in nine languages to facilitate information for the labor force on how to correct their situations.
