GCC initiative sponsors, namely the Riyadh-based Gulf Cooperation Council member states, veto-holder of the United nations five permanent members, and the European Union countries welcomed the launch of the second phase of Yemen's national dialogue. In a statement issued here this evening, the ten members of the tripartite blocs said the convening of the second phase of the national dialogue conference in Sanaa only 80 days of the first phase is yet another evidence that the transitional process is proceeding well despite obstacles put before it. They urged all the parties concerned in Yemen to join the national dialogue as it proved to be the most appropriate platform for tackling the country's chronic problems.
