Saudi newspapers' editorials for today highlighted a number of current issues. Al-Bilad newspaper highlighted convening of a meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Jeddah later today, pointing out that the Council has achieved numerous accomplishments in various fields. In Syrian affairs, Al-Yaum newspaper said that the Syrian political opposition overcame the dispute among its leaders, calling on the opposition to begin confronting the Iranian-Russian alliance's dodging-tactics. For its part, Al-Watan newspaper criticized Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad's announcement the day before that the results of the Geneva 2 conference will be put to a referendum, saying that the announcement confirms that he is living outside the domain of reality.
