At least 11 people, including a suicide attacker, were killed Wednesday in two separate attacks in Iraq, said security officials, amid a rise in deadly violence in the country. According to dpa, eight people were killed and 20 injured when a suicide attacker blew himself up inside a coffee shop in the city of Baquba, around 57 kilometres north east of the capital Baghdad, said the officials. Two more civilians died in an attack by unidentified gunmen at a store, also in Baquba. Meanwhile, governor of the province of Salah al-Din, Ahmed Abdullah, survived an assassination bid, said police. Two car bombs exploded as Abdullah's convoy was passing in the province located 170 kilometres north of Baghdad. Five of his guards were wounded.
