Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan, President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud following the issuance of Royal Decree extending his term of office. The President hailed the King's support for the Royal Commission and his wise directives to ensure overall industrial development, especially in petrochemicals, mining and manufacturing industries as a strategic option to diversify sources of income and increase revenues of the state. He also highlighted the leadership's support and care for the Commission to implement its set ambitious plans and to complete industrial projects that are under implementation in the cities of the Royal Commission, affirming that these projects will have a positive impact and repercussions on the Saudi economy. He also referred to frequent visits of the King to the industrial cities of Jubail and Yanbu during which he laid foundation stones and inaugurated several giant industrial projects of the Royal Commission, SABIC and the private sector. The total value of these projects is estimated to be more than SR 400 billion.
