Three Georgian soldiers with the NATO-led troops were killed when Taliban militants attacked their base in southern Afghanistan, officials said Tuesday. "Four insurgents armed with weapons and explosive-laden vests attacked the Georgian soldiers' base in Musa Qala district on Tuesday," Amar Zwak, the governor's spokesman for Helmand province said. "The first one blew himself up at the gate, opening the way for the others," he told dpa. The remaining three assailants then opened fire and killed three soldiers before being shot dead, he said.
