China and India are negotiating a new border defense cooperation agreement to resolve a decades-old boundary spat, an Indian minister said Saturday. According to dpa, external Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, who was in Beijing, said both sides had agreed that they would not let boundary dispute mar an improvement in bilateral ties. Khurshid was in China to prepare for Chinese Premier Li Keqiang's visit to India. "The Chinese side has given us a border defense cooperation agreement some weeks ago...We have also given our suggestions and made certain points in the draft," Khurshid said.
