The Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry has met with a delegation from the Investment Promotion Agency of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce at the Council's headquarters in Riyadh. The meeting, which was held Last Monday, dealt with discussions on means of developing joint investments between the two countries and enhancing cooperation between the Saudi and Chinese business sector and companies in various fields. The talks were held within the framework of Chinese efforts to boost economic cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At the outset of the meeting, the Council's Secretary-General Khalid bin Mohammad Al-Otaibi highlighted the growing economic relations between Saudi Arabia and China. He said "China is a strategic trading partner of the Kingdom as the volume of trade exchange between the two countries now amounts to about $ 75 billion."
