Yaum newspaper also commented on the Syrian situation calling for routing the Syrian regime and its militias as well as their way of thinking and culture and preventing foreign powers' militias from tampering with Syria and its territory and attacking its people. Al-Sharq newspaper said that Al-Assad regime is playing with the seditious sectarian card to hinder Syrian pluralism and equality. Al-Watan newspaper said since all roads are closed by the Syrian regime, the purported resignation of Al-Ibrahimi may contribute to advancing the crisis internationally. Okaz newspaper welcomed the arrival of the first shipment of U.S. non-deadly arms to the Free Syrian Army, in support of the Syrian opposition against Al-Assad's regime.
