Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led his country's delegation to the Special Conference on Afghanistan, currently ongoing in Almaty, Kazakhistan, as per Istanbul initiative. Addressing the conferees, Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz confirmed Saudi Arabia's government support for the regional and international efforts being exerted to wipe out violence and fight terrorism to give the people of Afghanistan an opportunity to enjoy stability and peace as preludes for development and achieving the legitimate aspirations of the Afghani people. Later, Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz signed together with Afghanistan's foreign minister a general agreement for cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Afghanistan in economic, commercial, investment, scientific, education, technical, cultural, and sports fields. Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz arrived in Almaty yesterday. He was received by the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Kazakhistan, a number of officials of the Kazi ministry of foreign affairs and staff members of the Saudi embassy.
