US: Syrian regime used chemical weapons on "small scale"

US Secretary of Defence Chuck Hagel on Thursday
said the US intelligence community has "some degree of varying
confidence" that the Syrian regime has used chemical weapons.
Syria's use of chemical weapons was on a "small scale" and
involved "specifically the chemical agent sarin," Hagel told
reporters in Abu Dhabi.
