The United States said Tuesday that it recognized the earthquake that centered in Iran and affected Pakistan, offering to provide relief assistance to both countries. “We have seen the reports of the earthquake near Khash on the Iran-Pakistan border, and we are monitoring the situation, and we offer our condolences to the families who lost loved ones during the earthquake," State Department deputy spokesman Patrick Ventrell told reporters. “The United States does stand ready to assist at this point," Ventrell added during the daily press briefing.
