Syrian activists say government forces and aircraft are attacking opposing fighters' strongholds across the country. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said regime airstrikes Sunday killed an unspecified number of people in the village of Hadad in the northeastern province of Hassaka. It reported an opposing fighter and a civilian killed in airstrikes and fighting in the suburbs of Damascus. The Observatory says four civilians died under torture in a regime's jail. It said the regime's army shot one man dead in the southern city of Daraa, according to a report of the Associated Press.
