A symposium on "Islamic Culture in East Africa" was concluded here today. The symposium was held by the Muslim World League (MWL) in cooperation with the Organization of Muslim Scholars in Tanzania. In a speech on this occasion, MWL Secretary General Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki thanked the Government of Tanzania for the facilities provided for MWL to hold the symposium, stressing that the MWL appreciates the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to serve Islam and Muslims throughout the world. The symposium addressed the risk of cultural globalization on the cultural identity of African Muslims.
