The Minister of Transport Dr. Jubarah bin Eid Al-Suraiseri of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is participating in Maritime Transport Forum currently in progress in the Republic of Singapore. Addressing the Forum, Dr. Al-Suraiseri highlighted the development of Saudi ports and the continuing growth of trade between the countries of Asia, including Arab countries in West Asia, especially the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States. The Minister emphasized the importance of cooperation in the field of technology and training, as well as the confrontation of the challenges facing maritime transport trade, especially the piracy in some sea lanes and the need to improve the infrastructure for maritime transport, calling for greater cooperation in the face of these challenges and not to take unilateral decisions that may affect the marine transport and other countries.
