Geneva-based UN Human Rights Council today called on the government of Myanmar to exert more efforts to stop acts of segregation and human rights violations against ethnic minorities in the south east Asian country. The decision also expressed concern over the situation facing the Rohingyan minority in the State of Rakhin, urging the government of Myanmar to take the necessary measures to imporve their situations and protect all their human rights. The decision demanded investigation into acts of violence which were witnessed in the State of Rakhin and bring those held responsible to justice and allow the flow of humanitarian assistance to safe arrival to their destinations without obstacles.
