The value of Saudi exports of non-oil commodities for the month of January for the year 2013 reached SR15,082 million, an increase of SR 420 million riyals over the same period of the previous year, registering a hike of 2.87%. This was disclosed in a monthly report for January 2013 on the Kingdom's non-oil exports and imports issued by the General Department of Statistics and Information. Chemical exports ranked first in terms of value accounting for 35.96% of the total value of non-oil exports with an amount of SR 5,424 million. The Kingdom's imports for January 2013 amounted to SR 49,752 million, up by SR 4,604 million over the same period of the previous year, registering an increase of 10.20%.
