The Director General of Police in Muharraq Governorate stated that a locally-made explosive device detonated today in Al-Dair area opposite the Al-Dair Primary Boys' School and a kids-bikes repair shop. The blast, an act of terrorism, had resulted in hand-injuries to an Asian worker, who was rushed to a hospital for medical treatment, he said. The Police Directorate received a report at 5:45 am (local time) this morning after the blast occurred off Avenue 25 near the afore-said school. The competent bodies immediately moved to the incident's location where an Asian worker was found to have sustained critical injuries in one of his hands. The Public Prosecution was duly notified about the incident, according to a report of Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
