The Australian Broadcasting Co. reported Monday on accusations Thai officials are involved in selling Rohingya refugees from western Myanmar to brokers who then sell them as laborers, adding Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawata mentioned, in a her weekly radio address, Thai military officers shot and killed a Rohingya off the Thai coast. An interviewed refugee said the Thai navy intercepted a boat and directed it to a beach at Ranong, Thailand, where it was met by a trafficker who bought the human cargo.
