Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, said in a press statement upon his arrival in Doha "I am glad to express pleasure over this visit. I am pleased to convey the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, and the people and Government of Qatar." The Crown Prince also said "The visit comes within the framework of fraternal mutual visits that aim at developing and enhancing bilateral relations. The visit is an opportunity to discuss various regional and international issues of common interest. We hope that the outcomes of the fourth session of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council will serve the peoples of the two brotherly countries." The Crown Prince expressed thanks to Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the Government of the State of Qatar for the warm reception.
