Watan newspaper said that fears of the Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon about the disintegration of Syria suggests that there is a backup plan in the event of the collapse of the Syrian regime and its inability to control the main locations in the country and probably that plan was devised by the regime with the knowledge of Russia. Al-Yaum newspaper said that Tehran is speaking on behalf of Al-Assad regime and that it decides on behalf of the regime as Iranian officials are making themselves spokespersons of an Arab country. Al-Madinah newspaper said that Iraq is sliding back towards the brink of a new crisis with the wave of protests taking place in Sunni areas since a few weeks ago, especially as those protests are evolving to a civil disobedience.
