Hajj Minister: Umrah Visas Reach 1.6 Million Since the Start of the Season

The Minister of Hajj Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Hajjar said that the Ministry has issued 1,600,000 Umrah visas since the start of Umrah season in the month of Safar, 1434 AH at a monthly arrival average of 400,000 Umrah performers.
In a statement today, he noted that during the blessed month of Ramadan, the arrival of Umrah performers will reach record rates compared to the last year amounting to nearly one million and the number will reach 6 million Umrah performers by the end of the season.
Dr. Hajjar commended the projects for expanding circumambulation tracks that will accommodate the numbers of Umrah performers in the current season.
He pointed out that in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier, the Ministry has mobilized all its cadres to provide the best services and facilities to Umrah performers.
