Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh met here today with UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Valerie Amos. During the meeting, they discussed means of boosting cooperation between Jordan and the UN. Talks during the meeting also tackled the humanitarian repercussions of the Syrian crisis on Jordan which is hosting hundreds of thousands of refugees and providing them with services despite Jordan's limited resources. Judeh stressed Jordan's keenness to cooperate with the UN organizations operating in the humanitarian field, urging all UN member countries to provide aid to the refugees to prevent a humanitarian crisis. Amos urged the international community to help Jordan as it the struggles to cope with the growing number of displaced Syrians.
