Jubilant of the numerous gold, silver and bronze medals they have collected from abroad, Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd, the General President of Youths Welfare, welcomed the Saudi track and field team for those with special needs upon arrival at King Khalid International airport coming from Doha, Qatar, where they took part in the GCC 8th track and field championship for the handicapped. In a statement to mark the triumphant achievement of the Saudi handicapped, Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd attributed the victory of whom he called "those with special abilities" rather than needs to the special care of the Saudi leadership, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to sports and youths in the Kingdom. He cited that the Saudi handicapped national team has collected in Doha 18 gold medals, six silver and three bronze, reminding that recently another Saudi handicapped won more than six golds in Korea winter championship.
