GCC - Turkish Trade and Investment Committee concluded its 2nd meeting at the headquarters of the Secretariat General of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) here today, with the participation of representatives of the two sides. During the meeting, the Committee approved a plan of joint action in the areas of trade and investment (2013-2015), to enhance cooperation between the GCC and Turkey, according to scheduled programs, including the holding of exhibitions, conferences and economic forums. Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Awaisheg, GCC assistant Secretary General for strategic dialogue and negotiations said that the meeting comes within the framework of the strategic dialogue between GCC and Turkey that began in 2008 and aims to establish a partnership between the two sides at all tacks. It is worth mentioning that the volume of trade exchange between GCC member States and Turkey was 22 billion dollars in 2012, an increase of 60% from the previous year 2011, as investment volume rose to more than 46 billion dollars.
