Saudi Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) has announced its continuous follow-up to the problem of European horsemeat scandal since its disclosure recently in Britain, through a follow-up by SFDA's Center for Rapid Alert. In a statement issued here today, the SFDA said that its information showed that the problem of beef products mixed with horsemeat covers most European countries and the number of European companies affected is growing. It added that strict and specific procedures are taken to accredit only the facilities that export meat and its products to the kingdom.
