Egypt will participate in the extraordinary summit of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD), starting its deliberations later today in the Chadian capital N'Djamena. Egypt's delegation to the Summit is headed by Egypt's Prime Minister, Dr Hisham Qandil. The summit will discuss ways to enhance trade and economic relations between the CEN-SAD's Member States and the fight against the problems of poverty and hunger. It will also focus on desertification and enhancement of rates of development in the countries of the region and to find peaceful solutions to conflicts in the African continent. Dr.Qandil is scheduled to hold a series of meetings with a number of heads of delegations participating in the summit.
