Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), welcomed today a decision of Yemeni President Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi to launch national comprehensive dialogue conference on March 18, 2013. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Zayani described the move as an important step towards completing the implementation of the GCC initiative and its executive mechanism. The GCC Secretary General also called upon the Yemeni political parties and powers to participate in the dialogue, stressing that the GCC Member States as well as regional and international sponsors will continue their commitments and partnerships with Yemen in this important phase of the Yemeni history.
