Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was fined 12,000 pounds (19,000 dollars) by the Football Association on
Friday for alleging bias in a linesman, dpa reported.
An Independent Regulatory Commission found that Ferguson's
comments after United's Premier League game at Tottenham Hotspur in
January had breached rule E3.
The misconduct charge said that Ferguson's comments implied that
the linesman had been biased in not giving his side a penalty.
