Sharq and Al-Watan newspapers commented on its developments and said that resolution of the crisis seems to be still far off. On the Islamic summit to be held in Cairo on Wednesday and Thursday, Okaz newspaper expressed hope for the success of the summit in achieving stability in the Islamic countries. Al-Bilad newspaper commented on French President François Hollande's visit to Mali saying it came to support French troops fighting the rebels there. Finally, Al-Riyadh newspaper commented on the issue of the difficulty of assessing reality in light of the chaos in the region and media's misleading role.
