Saudi newspapers' editorials for today highlighted a number of current issues. Al-Yaum newspaper said that the appointment of Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz as the Second Deputy Premier has been welcomed by the citizens as Prince Muqrin is known for his integrity, wisdom and successes in previous responsibilities. The newspaper highlighted the fine traits enjoyed by Prince Muqrin and said that with the appointment of Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz as Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defense Minister and the subsequent appointment of Prince Muqrin as the Second Deputy Premier, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has achieved a quantum leap in his reform efforts. Okaz newspaper commented on the significance of the two-day Islamic Summit, starting its deliberations in Cairo on Wednesday and said it is a timely opportunity for leaders of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) to review the current situation in their communities.
