U.S. President Barack Obama has expressed hopes that bilateral relations with India continue to get stronger during his second term, the White House said. “The president's views have not changed, both on the importance and value of the Indian-American community and the importance and value of the bilateral relationship that we have developed with India," White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters on Thursday. “India is an incredibly important country in the world ... And the president looks forward to continuing to enhance the depth of our relationship, to work together on common goals in the region and around the world," Carney said.
