Turkey's state-run news agency says Turkish police have clashed with four armed Syrians who allegedly attempted to abduct a prominent Syrian opposition lawyer based in Turkey. All four were arrested. The Anadolu Agency reports that the Syrians broke into a home in Turkey's border Hatay province early on Wednesday, forced the lawyer into a car and headed toward the frontier. Anadolu says a firefight broke out between the Syrians and police in a forested area. Two of them were injured and detained at the scene, while the other two were caught following a chase. Anadolu identified the lawyer - who was not hurt - by his initials M.E. and said he was a prominent opposition figure.
