SCTA Discovers Palace Dates Back to First AH Century in Al-Ateg Valley

Madinah Al-Munawarah, Saudi Arabia, Rabi'I 08, 1434, January 20, 2013, SPA -- Archaeological Excavations carried out by a team from Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) have revealed a palace dating back to the first AH Century in Al-Ateg valley in Al-Medina Region.
The Head of excavation team Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Oscopi said that the discoveries in the site included variety of pottery, glass, stone tools and utensils steatite.
