Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr Al Thani announced that the Office of Afghan Taliban Movement will soon be opened in Doha. Sheikh Hamad said in a press conference here yesterday that Taliban Office will open at the earliest opportunity and that arrangements are underway to open it as soon as possible. He explained that the objective is to facilitate dialogue between the Taliban, the government and other parties in Afghanistan, noting that the idea is to try to reach a comprehensive peace through dialogue.
