President Barack Obama of the United States of America met at the White House yesterday with Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, the Prince conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to President Obama and his best wishes of further progress and prosperity for the American people. For his part, President Obama sent his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. A statement issued by the White House after the meeting said that the two sides stressed the strength of partnership ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America and discussed a number of issues relating to security and regional issues of common concern. The statement added that President Obama congratulated Prince Mohammed bin Naif on his appointment as interior minister. The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir. On Sunday night, Prince Mohammed bin Naif arrived in Washington, DC, on an official visit to the United States of America where he was received by the Saudi Ambassador to the United States, and a number of senior officials of the U.S. administration.
