Under the patronage of Prince Saudi Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the activities of the Arab Private Sector Forum began here today. The two-day event is organized by the Council of Saudi Chambers in collaboration with the General Federation of the Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for the Arab Countries and the General Secretariat of the Arab League. In the opening session, Dr. Ibrahim bin Ibrahim Al-Assad, Minister of Finance, delivered a speech in which he stressed that the private sector represents main engine for economic growth and activity as well as a job creation. Al-Assaf added that in order to facilitate the flow of inter-Arab investments, the Arab countries must revise their investment legislations and laws and work to create the right atmosphere to attract Arab investments, pointing out that the Arab Economic, Social and Development Summit (Arab Eco Summit) to be held in Riyadh after several days will discuss adoption of unified agreement to invest Arab capitals in the Arab countries. --More
