Seven people were killed Friday when a man believed to be high on illegal drugs went on a shooting rampage in the Philippines, police said according to dpa. The suspect was shot dead by police officers after randomly shooting at neighbours in Kawit town in Cavite province, just south of Manila, a police report said. Cavite Governor Juanito Victor Remulla said the victims included children as young as two. He said five victims died at the scene while two died while being treated in hospital. Eleven people were wounded, including five who were in critical condition. "The suspect is a notorious drug pusher in the town," Remulla told the Manila radio station dzMM. "I believe he was on drugs, probably suffering from mental damage."
