The Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabeea laid the foundation stone of the headquarters of the GCC Standards Commission. Dr. Rashed Ahmed bin Fahd, Minister of Environment of the United Arab Emirates, who is the rotatory president of the current session of the GCC commission, was present at the dedication ceremony which took place at the site in the diplomatic quarters in Riyadh today. In a key speech on the occasion, Nabeel bin Ameen Mullah, Secretray General of the GCC Standards Commission, forwarded thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for hosting the building and ordering the donation of a land plot for building the headquarters of the GCC Standards Commission and the costs of building to be shouldered by the Kingdom.
