Three foreign workers in Syria, including one from Italy, have been kidnapped, the Italian Foreign Ministry said on Monday. According to dpa, the men were employed at a steelworks in the coastal town of Latakia, the ministry said in a statement. Italian media said one of the hostages is Mario Belluomo, an engineer from Catania, Sicily. The other two victims were reported to be Russian.
