President Obama Congratulates Abe On Japanese Election

US President Barack Obama congratulated Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) leader Shinzo Abe on his party's victory in
Japan's parliamentary elections.
"I look forward to working closely with the next government and the people of Japan on a range of important bilateral, regional and global issues," President Obama said Sunday in a statement.
President Obama noted that the US-Japan alliance was the "cornerstone of
peace and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific," according to a report of DPA.
