Jewish settlers attacked early Saturday a number of Palestinian civilians in an area east of Hebron, according to local sources. According to WAFA, they said settlers from Kharsina and Kiryat Arba, built illegally on Palestinian-owned land in Hebron, attacked several people in the area, firing tear gas canisters and severely beating them before fleeing the scene. The injured were admitted to hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, Ratib Al-Jabour, the coordinator of popular committees in southern Hebron, told WAFA that soldiers and officers from the Israeli civil administration, the military government's arm in the West Bank, handed Mahmoud Makhamreh a demolition order for his house located in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron.
